Description

The National and International Endoscopy Course, organized by the Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (CCMIJU), is an intensive training program designed for healthcare professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of the main diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy techniques applied to both the digestive and respiratory systems. This activity offers a balanced combination of high-level theoretical content and hands-on practical training using simulators and experimental models, providing participants with a comprehensive learning experience focused on improving technical and clinical skills in commonly used endoscopic procedures.

During the course, participants explore the fundamentals of handling endoscopic equipment and auxiliary instruments, gain in-depth knowledge of the endoscopic anatomy of the digestive tract and airways, and develop practical skills in techniques such as esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, biopsy, cytology, and foreign body retrieval. Participants also have the opportunity to practice therapeutic endoscopic procedures on models, as well as to observe demonstrations of advanced techniques in a safe and supervised environment.

This course features a teaching faculty of recognized prestige, composed of specialists in endoscopy and minimally invasive techniques at both national and international levels. This provides a multidisciplinary and up-to-date perspective based on clinical practice and the most recent scientific evidence. Under the guidance of these experts, attendees can interact directly with the faculty, resolve specific questions, and refine their clinical and technical skills in a personalized manner.

The training takes place at the CCMIJU facilities in Cáceres, which are equipped with high-fidelity simulation technology and state-of-the-art equipment, facilitating the transfer of acquired knowledge to daily professional practice. Upon completion of the course, participants receive an accreditation certifying their attendance and the acquisition of competencies in endoscopy, thereby consolidating their training in this key field of diagnostic and therapeutic medicine.
