TITLE: Complementary Plan for Biotechnology Applied to Health

FUNDING: The Complementary Plan for Biotechnology Applied to Health, integrated within the framework of the PERTE for Cutting-Edge Health, has been co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities with funds from the European Union NextGenerationEU within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR-C17.I1) and the Autonomous Community of Extremadura through funds from the FEDER Extremadura 2021-2027 Operational Program.

Object of the Aid: The general objective of the complementary plan for biotechnology applied to health is the development of tools for diagnosis, prognosis and advanced, or targeted, therapies in personalized medicine.

Lines of Action: 1. Brem platform for electronic cryomicroscopy applied to personalized medicine. 2. Implementation and analysis of databases in precision medicine. 3. Platform for drug screening and analysis of drug-target interactions. 4. Development of biological models for screening and studying the activity of therapeutic molecules. 5. Development of nanodrugs, biodistribution, toxicity and therapeutic actions in pathology models. 6. Techniques and processes for advanced and targeted therapies, surgical training and medical robotics.

Aid granted:

Lines of Action 2, 3, 4 and 5: €1,774,600 within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) financed with Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (MRR).

Line of Action 6: €2,505,500 financed by funds from the FEDER Extremadura 2021-2027 Operational Program.
