Description
The 1st Advanced Vascular Surgery Course is designed to provide intensive, highly practical, and advanced technical training in vascular and microvascular surgery, aimed at professionals seeking to refine and expand their surgical skills in highly specialized settings.
Over four days, participants will follow a progressive program covering advanced vascular suturing techniques to complex arterial and venous anastomosis procedures, combining training on microsurgery practice boards, organic tissue, and experimental models. The course places particular emphasis on the proper execution of end-to-side and side-to-side anastomoses, venous autografts, surgery on vessels of different calibers, and supermicrosurgery techniques, including anastomosis of vessels with a diameter of 0.3 mm.
The teaching approach prioritizes practice-based learning, with small groups and direct supervision, allowing participants to develop dexterity, precision, and confidence in highly complex techniques. The program is complemented by theoretical sessions delivered by external faculty, aimed at reinforcing technical foundations, surgical decision-making, and the clinical application of the procedures covered.
As an added value, the course includes a demonstration using the Symani robotic platform, introducing participants to the latest innovations in robotic surgery applied to vascular microsurgery and offering an up-to-date perspective on the future of the specialty.
This course represents an advanced training opportunity to consolidate surgical skills, incorporate new technologies, and practice techniques that require a high degree of precision in an environment of academic and technological excellence.
