Description
The Veterinary Laparoscopic and Thoracoscopic Surgery Course offers comprehensive, hands-on training for veterinarians interested in mastering the main minimally invasive surgical techniques applied in animals. Over four intensive days, participants combine theoretical sessions with extensive practical work using simulators and experimental models, progressively developing skills in handling laparoscopic and thoracoscopic instruments.
The program ranges from basic exercises in coordination, cutting, dissection, and suturing to advanced procedures such as hepatic, pancreatic, renal, pulmonary, and pleural biopsies, ovariectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomy, cholecystectomy, laparoscopically assisted gastropexy, as well as more complex thoracic techniques, including dissection of intercostal vessels and the thoracic duct, mediastinal lymph node biopsy, and pericardiectomy.
The course places special emphasis on surgical practice and the application of technical principles of minimally invasive surgery, giving participants the opportunity to refine their skills under the supervision of specialists in the field.
