Description
The Advanced Laparoscopy in Urology: Renal Surgery Course provides comprehensive, hands-on training in complex minimally invasive renal procedures. Directed by Dr. Álvaro Serrano Pascual (Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid) and Dr. Francisco Miguel Sánchez Margallo (Scientific Director, CCMIJU), it is designed for experienced urologists seeking to refine their skills in procedures such as laparoscopic partial nephrectomy and cavotomy.
The course integrates theoretical sessions, focusing on detailed surgical techniques, complication management, and practical tips from clinical experience, with an extensive practical training block. Participants will perform dissection and suturing exercises on organic tissue, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy on simulators, and rotations on a robotic platform. Advanced sessions take place on animal models, allowing participants to consolidate their skills in partial nephrectomy and cavotomy in a realistic and controlled environment.
The teaching team, composed of highly renowned specialists such as Dr. Darío Vázquez Martul-Pazos (Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de A Coruña) and Dr. Iván González Rodríguez (Department of Urology, Hospital Universitario de Cabueñes de Gijón), guarantees instruction based on technical excellence, clinical experience, and the transmission of advanced surgical skills. This course represents a unique opportunity to deepen knowledge of renal laparoscopic techniques and to consolidate professional training in advanced urological surgery.
